Ayed Arafah

Ayed was awarded third prize in the 2010 A.M. Qattan Foundation Young Artist of the Year Award. His installation ‘Horizon’ is on show in Part II of our finalists exhibition, ‘Such Stuff As Dreams are Made on.’
He was born in Jerusalem in 1983 and spent his childhood in the Dheisheh Refugee Camp near Bethlehem. He is enrolled in the International Academy of Art in Ramallah, as well as at Al Quds Open University where he is simultaneously studying for a qualification in Social Work.
He is currently on a student exchange in the School of Arts and Media at the University of Brighton and will come to London to discuss his work and experiences on:
