Scheharazade Tells Tales No More

Anwar Hamed is a Palestinian novelist, poet and literary critic who was born in the West Bank in 1957, and currently lives in London.

He has published different literary genres, in Hungarian and Arabic, in Budapest, Beirut, Amman and Ramallah. Hamed’s novels include The Bridge of Babylon, Stones of Pain, Scheherazade Tells Tales No More,  The Game of Love and Pride and other Idiocies amongst others. He also works as a broadcasting journalist for BBC Arabic Service.

Anwar will be speaking about the challenges of writing to a foreign audience in its own language. The evening will also include readings in English from one of his novels.
